My purpose is to bring wellness and weight-related changes in people that become a lifestyle that is sustainable.
"I have trained with numerous trainers over the years, but I have definitely had the best results training with Holly Gatto. Holly evaluates your physical condition and capabilities and then designs a fitness program to help you achieve your goals. She alters your workout regularly so it doesn't become too routine and she is constantly incorporating new challenges. I highly recommend Holly. She is a diligent taskmaster who wants to help her clients achieve their fitness goals and live a healthier lifestyle."
"6 months ago, we sat down to discuss goals. You developed a program that was challenging, fun and allowed me to see my progress. A sprint triathlon, 5K and 10K race later, I have surpassed my goals and am looking forward to more challenges. I cannot thank you enough for your patience and expertise."
"Working with Holly Gatto gave me my life back in many ways. After having meniscus surgery on both knees back in 2008, I fell into a depressed state and got to the point of not being able to walk. Since starting my new life’s journey with Holly about 15 years ago, I have lost 60 pounds, avoided knee surgery by building up my leg muscles in addition to lowering my blood pressure and cholesterol levels. She provides a total mind, body and spirit workout and tracts your progress diligently. She has worked on my core and upper body muscles so I can lift my 60-pound embroidery machine into and out of my SUV to go to sewing classes. She makes my 69 ½ years young feel like I am 18 again (maybe a little stretch). This is the best I have felt in years and I owe everything to Holly Gatto. She is my savior and guardian angel in addition to being my health coach for life."
"Holly Gatto entered my life last spring when I decided to get some help preparing for hip surgery. After being very active and working out regularly for many years I was in pain and unsure about what to do. Luckily for me I was assigned to Holly. I knew from day one that she was different than any trainer I had worked with in the past. Her professionalism and knowledge were evident from the start. She knew when to push and when to back off. She was also sensitive to issues other than my hip, such as some rotator cuff problems and general muscle tightness.
My surgery was in July and although this surgery is normally done on young athletes the physical therapists at UPMC Center for Sports Medicine were surprised and very happy with my progress and recovery. After getting approval from my therapist, Holly and I started working together again in September and I am extremely happy with my results. She is constantly changing my routine so that I am never bored. I have told any one who cares to listen that she is the best trainer I have ever worked with."
"Holly Gatto is a top of the line fitness trainer. She not only comes with many years of experience but on top of that expertise she listens to your needs to help you reach your goals in a safe but doable manner. Holly pays close attention to the quality of the movements so you get the most out of the exercise and without injury. She appropriately motivates and challenges you and her passion for wellness is infectious. There are many personal trainers out there but few who have the training, knowledge, experience, sensitivity and dedication to her clients as Holly Gatto."
I began training three days a week with Holly in August of 2004 and I am completely satisfied with the entire experience and the results of our work are profound. Holly is completely dedicated to her work and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our sessions. She comes to each session armed with a plan and plenty of motivation for the both of us! She has come to know me and know my body’s physical limitations, but at the same time, knows when to push me to do more. I have come to trust her judgement without a second thought.
Initially, her training concepts seemed very different than what I had been accustomed to. It was very difficult- I had difficulty even doing a few repetitions, let alone doing a whole set! It didn’t take long for me to notice that, not only could I do an entire set, but we were progressing to more difficult versions of the same exercise! I was sold!
I play recreational ice hockey and, believe me, it isn’t easy for a 46-year-old woman to do this! Because of our sessions, my balance has vastly improved as well as my overall strength and stamina. My coaches have commented on my improvement! Holly was absolutely essential to this improvement.
I highly recommend Holly for anybody seeking a truly professional, yet personal approach to improving their health and reaching their fitness goals."
"Working with Holly was the best because of my back surgeries with out her pushing me I don't know where I would be today she helped me to strength my back and showed me different stretches I could do at home !!! You are one of a kind Holly!!! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!!!"
"Just wanted to say thanks for all your help, motivation, patience and training over the past few months. I could have never completed the tri without such a great trainer! Thanks for going above and beyond for me and all your time spent on emails, calls and especially coming to the race- I appreciate everything you did to help me- You are right. What a great feeling to now call myself a triathlete!!"
"My wife, Mimi, has worked with Holly for many years with great success. I decided a year ago (Spring of 2018) that I would get on Holly’s program too. I have Type 2 Diabetes and have suffered from neuropathy and great loss of strength in my legs. Holly has emphasized this issue and addressed it with astonishing success. Holly really understands the big picture of my disease. Her strength training regimen has significantly restored my leg and core strength. My overall movement and balance are greatly improved. Holly also understands nutrition and has many great dietary suggestions. In only one year she has been a godsend. With diet and exercise my A1C has gone from 10.9 to 6.1. I attribute that in the largest part to Holly’s attention. My Primary care physician is duly impressed. Very importantly, Holly never pushes me too hard and is always cognizant of my limits. The workout is tough, fast paced and an aerobic experience as well. You will love it."
My health coaching programs can help you set clear health and fitness goals and adopt winning strategies to achieve them. Physical changes are important but the behavioral changes that are weight related are paramount.
